Berkey Stainless Steel Spigot Leaking

Includes two food grade silicone washers stainless steel washers and wingnut. The old spigot was leaking and figured it was time to purchase another. The replacement spigot arrived promptly and it was easy to install. If the leak is at the bottom chamber ensure that the washers are set up properly.

Pulled my berkey out of storage where it had been for 8 years. The spigot on my royal berkey started leaking so i ordered a stainless steel replacement. The design on this is much better i think and have had no problems at all with leaks. Install the black washer and then the hex nut onto the threaded nipple of the spigot.

Made of high quality 304 food grade stainless steel no plastic food grade silicone washers. I purchased the travel berkey. The spigot was leaking initially. See if the leak is coming from the spout where water is supposed to come out of or from where the spigot meets the bottom chamber.

The berkey stainless steel spigot can be used on any of our stainless steel systems in place of the standard plastic spigot. May be purchased as a replacement to the standard spigot not compatible with berkey sight glass spigot. Install the white washer with the beveled edge towards the stainless steel container insert the threaded nipple of the berkey spigot into the hole in the bottom of your berkey system. Features fast flow rate and a quarter turn ball valve design for secure and easy access. I ve figure a way to turn it upside down after each use so it won t leak. However i still have a puddle. If so tighten the spigot nut.

Every time i fill it i have a puddle on my counter and in my floor. I don t over tighten but they both leak. Does not fit berkey light or go berkey. Berkeylove berkeylife berkey we bought the new stainless steel spigot for our berkey and changed it this morning.
